Quoi ?

In a seated position, we’ll explore a few tricks to gain more control and mobility in our toes.

Pourquoi ?

We don’t really think about it, but our feet, and therefore our toes, are our foundation to perform the most basic human movements, such as standing, walking and running. A lack of mobility in our toes can have an impact on the rest of our bodies; that’s why we want to be able to recreate pathways from our brains to our toes, so we’re gaining more control of them, and therefore more mobility.

Nota Bene

How often are your walking barefoot ? If you want to improve your toe mobility and you’re not familiar with being barefoot – or if you are wearing shoes/slippers at home – see if you can get into the habit of freeing your feet. Your toes will be grateful 🙂

I remember, a few years ago I wasn’t even able to spread my toes or bend my big toe. Moreover, I didn’t even think it possible. Yoga made me aware of the importance of our feet and that it is basically the foundation for – nearly – everything. This was a challenging but fun exercise I’m sure to repeat and improve my toe flexibility 😀
